By now every blog you follow has done or will soon be doing a gift guide. Every magazine, every shop, even your sister has sent you ideas. Maybe some of you know the people in your life so well you already know exactly what you’re getting them and don’t need any ideas whatsoever. If that’s the case, then I’m super jel because it takes me weeks of thinking and researching to find the perfect gift for someone. Yes, the better you know a person, the easier it is. However, sometimes you’re at an impasse. And sometimes you’re just too busy to sit around and think about Christmas gifts all the time. I get it.
That’s why I decided to make a holiday gift guide. I’m including a lot of different suggestions. Below you will find ideas for both men and women, materialistic and experiential. Some of them will be specific, and some will be generalised. That way you can make it your own or add a little flare to it. I wish you lots of luck in your holiday shopping experiences!
Lush Bath Set – Click Here
Perfect for anyone who loves relaxation and a nice warm bath. These can get expensive if you get the large sets, or you can keep it well under budget by buying a smaller one. It’s a great and easy idea for your girlfriend, sister, mother, or even a special man in your life who likes to pamper himself every once in awhile. The link I included has an entire page of gift ideas.
My boyfriend actually bought me a gift set for my birthday and I’m still using it a month later. It was a fantastic gift, and can last you quite a long time.
Lush Olive Branch Bath Gel – Click Here
Not everything in Lush is made for women. You can find quite a few scents that men can enjoy as well. Look for a less fragrant bath bomb or the Olive Branch bath gel that smells amazing for a relaxing shower.
You could ever try a bath scrub that exfoliates your entire body while taking a shower or bath. These types of products can be for either men and women and are great ideas for gifts as that doesn’t tend to be something we buy ourselves very often!
Origins Face Masks – Click Here
I am obsessed with all of the Origins skincare products I have used. So if there is someone in your life who loves face masks, look into these. They are not too expensive, and work extremely well. You really can’t go wrong here. My favourites are the Rose Clay, Out of Trouble, and the Charcoal mask.
The link I included at the top has a few gift sets with really great deals. If this is something that interests you, I’d buy it now before they’re sold out. I’m sure those will go fast!
Everyone could use more cologne or perfume. I know it’s rather cliche, but when you run out of time or patience looking for gifts, it can be wonderful to fall back on. If you know this person really loves to try different scents, this is an amazing gift. I had a friend who was obsessed with perfumes. And for me, I never took the time or money to investigate or try different scents which is why I love getting perfume as a gift. My personal favourite is Si by Georgio Armani. For cologne, I am a big fan of L’eau D’issey Pour Homme by Issey Miyake. This is D’s famous scent, and I will forever think of him when I smell this.
But you could honestly walk into any department store, and ask around about perfumes and colognes. If you’re willing to spend a bit of money, it makes for a lovely gift. On the flip side, you could always go for some candles. Try Yankee Candle, or Bath & Body Works in the US for some lovely holiday scents.
Gym Memberships and Equipment
If you and your partner are into fitness, the options are endless. You could get him/her a gym membership, or purchase some kickbox or yoga classes. You could buy your man some new gym shorts or the protein powder you know he likes. I personally love Kayla Itsine’s BBG program and for a girl who doesn’t have easy access to a gym, that would be an amazing gift as you can do these workouts at home. Get creative here. If you’re in a relationship where you’re both motivated to get healthy and fit, this is an amazing way to show you support each other.
For great deals, I would suggest looking on Groupon for fitness classes or gym passes. There’s a gym near me that was offering 5 day passes for only £5!
This is almost the best gift ever. And as it may not be the most appropriate thing to give everyone, it can still be a great gift for distant family members, or something to bring the host of your holiday party. Any bottle of wine would be great. If you want to be a bit classy, I think a nice Cabernet Sauvignon for a red, and Sauvignon Blanc for a white. Champagne or Prosecco can never fail, and if you know the person well, a personalised spirit can win you some great points as well.
Ladies, the majority of us know our dudes love to play video games. And to be quite honest, I love it. It keeps them occupied, and sometimes they’ll even let you play with them, which I love. I grew up with two brothers so I’m a fan of Call of Duty and Grand Theft Auto. My mom and dad bought my boyfriend the new South Park game, Fractured but Whole, and he loves it. He’s basically conquered the whole game already. But I know that there’s also a new Call of Duty out as well. So get a conversation going with whomever you’re thinking of and find a game he’d love to have.
This is completely open to you. You can look for concert tickets, sports games, musicals, plays, or a Christmas orchestra. You could get tickets to an exhibition at a library. I understand these can get pricey, but I am a big fan of buying experiential gifts for people. To me, it shouldn’t always be about materialistic things, but about spending time with your friends and family. I truly believe this is a great way to do that. And if they’re extremely expensive, just tell the person it’s their Christmas and birthday gift for the year! Most people would be completely okay with that. I know I would.

Again, check Groupon. They have deals for everything. You could go sky diving, or even visit an alpaca farm.
To be completely candid with you guys, my favourite gifts I’ve received from people have been when there has been a lot of thought put in. One of my brothers got me my favourite chemical peel pads that I haven’t been able to afford in the last year for Christmas and my birthday. My boyfriend bought me Harry Potter wand makeup brushes for my birthday this year, and last year for Christmas he not only bought me my first pair of Louboutins, but also bought me a book on how to begin a blog. If it hadn’t been for that £15 book, I don’t know if I would even be writing this post right now. So my advice to you is to truly think about the person you’re buying for. If you know what they like, do some research and go from there.
If you have any questions or need any advice, please don’t hesitate to ask me! I personally love giving gifts to my friends and family. It brings me so much joy. If I can help you in any way possible, I would be honoured.
