It is actually the end of November guys. I cannot believe how fast 2018 has come and gone.
I knew this month would be special. As it’s my birthday month and Thanksgiving, it’s always been my favourite time of year. This year it was very different than what I’m usually used to but it was still very special it its own way.
Look below to see what I was loving about November this year.
The Lake District
D took me to the Lake District for a long weekend for my birthday and it was spectacular. Neither of us had been before and we’ve already talked about going back sometime because it was just that amazing.
I can’t do it justice talking about it or even showing you pictures, it’s just something you should do if you ever come to England to visit. Or if you already live here, then I don’t know what you’re waiting for, but you need to schedule a weekend away very soon.

Our Engagement Party
Since we decided not to do a formal party, we just got some of our closest friends together and went for a meal and drinks out in London. And it was one of my favourite nights ever.
The food was great, the drinks were great, and the company was spectacular. Honestly, D and I both really enjoyed that night so much. It was drama free and full of so much laughter, I actually got a headache.
We also got all of our engagement photos back and I love them so much.
Knackered by Chaos’ First Real Collaboration
Now this is the biggest news you guys. I was asked to do a giveaway collaboration with L’Occitane. Yes, them. They’re a really big and well known brand everywhere. In France, the UK, and even in the States.
They gave me one of their gift sets and then I was able to host a giveaway on my Instagram and give a gift set to one of my followers.
I am soooo so proud of this moment! I hope it’s the first of many collabs to come because this is exactly how my dream of making this blog my career can come true.
Becoming a Ginge
Yep, I took the plunge. I’ve done the red hair before, but I decided that I was going to do one more “different” thing to my hair before getting it ready for the wedding. And I’ve been trying to do the red colour again for years.
This time, it turned out much more red than I had actually anticipated, but I love it. It’s so great for winter. And as red doesn’t come out of hair very easily, I know there will be a tint of red for a long time even when I start to do my all over brown colour. Hehehe.
I planned this one well.
Camembert All the Way
I’ve actually had camembert three separate times this month. Don’t judge me.
Tis the season for cheese and wine, folks. And I am definitely loving it.
D and I had the best camembert of our lives in the Lake District and I haven’t been able to get enough of it since then.
P.S. Even McDonald’s are selling camembert cheese bites for the Christmas season here in the UK and they are divine. So if you don’t want to commit to a whole cheese block, go to Micky D’s.
D got me a bunch of cute gifts for my birthday but one of my absolute favourites was the stuffed Paddington Bear. Ever since we saw the movies a few months ago, I’d talked about how badly I wanted to get a Paddington Bear.
When I opened it and saw the tag that said “please take care of this bear” I actually got choked up. It is the sweetest movies I have ever seen. So if you haven’t seen those movies yet, you absolutely have to. Adult, child, literally does not matter. Those movies are an absolute gift to the world.
All in all, November was a really busy month for me. The blog was very busy and so was my social life. I am looking forward to December as it will be busy due to the holidays, but we get a week and a half off of work to take some time to relax and spend time with family.
Anyone have anything special happen to them in November? Can you believe it’s over??
